W.A Cromarty and Co engineers have an extensive background in developing automation solutions using a selection of hardware and software sourced from a variety of vendors.

To increase revenue and market competitiveness without significant expenditure on non current assets, an organisation may look internally at its processes in order to identify and eliminate inefficiencies. Common items identified are costs of materials, downgrade due to handling errors, repetitive manual labour, and miscellaneous non value added activities. Once identified an analysis should be conducted to see whether the activity could be eliminated or reduced by handling the process differently. For example manual handling may be replaced by an automated process that may reduce rejects, increase quality and increase production. Automation should also be considered where safety is a concern.
